June 9th- Student appreciation day (District)- PJ Day June 17th- Field trip (no parents can attend due to Covid protocols) June 18th- Tentative outdoor learning day (students will need sunscreen, a towel/blanket to sit on and extra clothes) In the event of rain we will do this the next sunny day June 25th-Last day of school Questions for this week: Quel sont les traits physiques de ton animal ? What are your pets’ physical characteristics? Quel sont les qualités de ton animal ? What are your animal’s personality qualities? Qu’est-ce que tu ton animal fait ? What does your animal do? Qu’est-ce que tu fais pour prendre soin de ton animal ? What do you need to take care of your animal? Qu’est-ce dont tu as besoin pour ton animal (les objets) ? What do you need for your animal? (objects- example bowls, collar etc) Math- We are continuing to work through decimals and we will spend June reviewing all the different concepts we have covered this school year. I will try and send review sheets home as needed. Should you want additional review for your child please don't hesitate to send me an email. May 24- No School (Victoria Day) May 25- Fractions retest June 9th- Student appreciation (PJ day) June 21-25-The last week we will be having a lot of fun activities both inside the classroom and outside (please make sure students have a change of clothes and sunscreen) June 25- Last day for students and final report card This week's questions (New unit- Les animaux [animals]) Est-ce que tu as un animal domestique ? Do you have a pet ? Quel type d’animal as-tu? ou quel animal veux-tu ? What type of animal do you have ? or want to have ? Si vous avez le choix pour un animal domestiques (différèrent que celle que tu as maintenant) lequel choisis-tu ? If you could pick any pet (different from the one you have now) what would you chose ? Quel sont les bons qualités pour un animal ? What are good personality traits for a good animal? Math-Students are struggling with fractions (equivalent and number line placement) so we have been revisiting these topics and will continue this week with a retest slated for May 25th. I have attached a few review questions to the parent email should students wish to practice. We have also been looking at decimals (relating decimals to fractions and fractions to decimals, equivalent decimals, comparing decimals and placing them on a number line). We will be continuing to review decimals for the next few weeks before I conduct a test. In June we will be looking at adding and subtracting decimals (this is something that can be worked on at home to expose students before I instruct. Have them add and subtract items from grocery flyers. Homework- Practice multiplication and related division facts. Read each night 20-30 minutes. Important dates:
