Do you often listen to music on an ipod or radio? Est-ce que tu regardes parfois des vidéoclips à la télé ? Do you sometimes watch music videos on the TV? Est-ce que tu écoutes souvent de la musique sur YouTube? Do you often listen to music on youtube ? Est-ce que tes amis écoutent souvent de la musique ? Do your friends often listen to music? Math- Over the coming weeks we will continue to review past concepts from this school year. Additionally, we are continuing to work through decimals and fractions (a challenge concept during the best of years). A test will be coming along shortly for students ability to: Describe and represent decimals (tenths, hundredths, thousandths) concretely, pictorially and symbolically (outcome N8), outcome N9-Relate decimals to fractions (to thousandths)and possibly Outcome N10-Compare and order decimals (to thousandths), by using: benchmarks, place value, equivalent decimals. Once I am confident that students are grasping this we will move onto adding and subtracting decimals. At home to prep for this you may try and have them look through flyers for items they want to buy at the store and have them add them up or give them a set amount of money and have them subtract from it something they want to buy. Homework- Multiplication and division review facts from 0-9 and reading each night. Extra practice homework may be sent home on Monday (as needed) and is asked to be returned by Friday.
