Happy Earth month!
April 18th- Milk order deadline April 22- Earth day - I am planning to have the class work on cleaning up the school yard so please be sure to send them with an extra set of gloves :) May 7th- Provincial PD (No school for students) May 10th- District NBTA Branch meeting (No school for students) Questions for this week Quel sport est-ce que tu pratiques au printemps ? What sport do you practice in Spring? Quel sport est-ce que tu pratiques en été ? What sport do you practice in summer? Quel sport est-ce que tu pratiques en automne ? What sport do you practice in Fall? Quel sport est-ce que tu pratiques en hiver ? What sport do you practice in Winter? Quel est ton sport préféré ? What is your favourite sport? Math-We are continuing to keep reviewing division 3 digit by 1 digit and interpreting remainders based on the troubles seen on the quiz. Additionally we are making our way through fractions (equivalent and their placement on a number line), the connection between fractions and decimals. Mrs. Goguen is working on measurement with the class. Brillant labs sponsored project- Building a Rube Goldberg machine. In small groups students began brainstorming and gathering materials to create a simple machine in the style of Rube Goldberg (a quick google/youtube search will show lots of videos and past creations). I am excited for what the children will create. We were even able to get microbits that will allow them the opportunity to incorporate some coding into the projects. Have a great week and as always if you have any questions or concerns please don't hestiate to reach out! Katelyn Pettigrew
